Hear from the co-creators: Kiddada Green, Kimberly Seals Allers and Anayah Sangodele-Ayoka.
Kiddada Green is the founding executive director of Black Mothers’ Breastfeeding Association. Kiddada sits on the advisory council of the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters, Women’s eNews Black Maternal Health and Wayne Children’s Healthcare Access Program. She is also a W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellow. She works tirelessly to increase breastfeeding rates for African Americans.
Kimberly Seals Allers is an award winning journalist, a lead commentator, speaker and consultant on social justice and racial equity for breastfeeding issues. Kimberly is also the creator and project lead of the First Food Friendly Community Initiative.
Anayah Sangodele-Ayoka is the co-editor of Free to Breastfeed: Voices from Black Mothers, a graduate nurse midwifery student at Yale University, and a program associate with MomsRising focusing on issues related to breastfeeding and racial equity.
