Theresa Mitchell

Theresa Mitchell is the Senior Manager for The Community Builders (TCB) Community Life (CL) Program. CL is TCB’s place-based model that uses healthy and stable housing as a platform for connecting our residents to community resources and opportunities so they can thrive. Theresa has served with Michigan United supporting social and economic justice work, early literacy and youth and parent development at Detroit Parent Network, advocacy and policy changes for early childhood education with Detroit Champions for HOPE, and as a research analyst with the University of Michigan’s Feeding MI Families. She serves as lead for the Mommy & Us Resource Bus (MURB) funded by Community Connections to support reducing infant mortality rates through transportation and trained resource sharing. Theresa has worked in the nonprofit community supporting youth and families for the last 22 years and strategically partners with organizations and community that support the growth and development of children, families and communities.
