Lauren O’Connor, MPH, CLC, works for McKing Consulting Corporation as a Breastfeeding Specialist in CDC’s Nutrition Branch on the Maternal, Infant, and Toddler Nutrition Team. Lauren is a breastfeeding subject matter expert providing knowledge and content expertise to help advance the CDC’s breastfeeding strategic priority. Lauren works on several different projects including developing and updating CDC’s breastfeeding content, corresponding with hospitals nationwide to assist with CDC’s Maternity Practices in Infant Nutrition and Care (mPINC) survey and assisting with the development of CDC’s Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies toolkit to provide guidance on infant feeding during natural disasters and emergency situations in the U.S.
