Cassandra Mongala, B.S., M.A.

Cassandra Mongala is a Detroit native who graduated from Renaissance High School. From there she would attend Hampton University in Hampton,VA and in 2012 graduated with her Bachelors in Biology. She returned home to Michigan to continue her education at Western Michigan University, where she received a Master’s degree in Organization, Leadership,and Performance in 2016. Cassandra has always wanted to be a birth worker. She supported her first client as a doula in 2015 and 2018 she attended Doulas training with Patty Brennan at Lifespan Doula. In 2019 she started her own Doula business Laboring Fruits. Today Cassandra continues to provide doula services in the Metro Detroit area. She is also a midwife assistant at Birth Detroit Birth Center and is a Home birth student midwife under Cynthia Jackson, Sacred Rose Midwifery.
