World/Community Doula Week Panel + Matchmaking Event @MoCAD
April 4 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
The Black Mother’s Breastfeeding Association and MoCAD invite you to celebrate both World and Community Doula Week (2024) with an exciting Panel and Doula matchmaking event! You’ll have the chance to:
- Experience diverse discussions and engagement with Detroit doulas.
- Listen to and learn from our Families and Doulas Panel, where families and community birthing professionals from diverse backgrounds will come together for an inclusive Q&A session.
- Discover pathways to connect with doulas and contribute to their communities.
- Take home complimentary materials and resources to assist you on your maternity journey.
After the panel, expecting families can engage in doula matchmaking to find their perfect Doula and learn about BMBFA’s free doula services and certification training for expectant mothers in Detroit. Doulas and Mamas who “match” will receive a free gift!
Community vendors and healthcare providers will also be onsite to assist with additional needs.
For Doulas, we have a ton of special opportunities and prizes including personalized Medicaid registration help and a FREE ticket to the Maternal Infant Health Summit in Lansing, courtesy of @SEMPQIC! Please register using the QR code OR the Eventbrite link to make sure we have enough goodies for you.
Let’s get ready to mingle and have a time!
