Program Coordinator (past)
Cicely Allen is a Program Associate with Black Mothers’ Breastfeeding Association. After working in the insurance industry for 13 years, she changed career paths and began providing program support to organizations that service and uplift marginalized communities. Committed to racial justice, Cicely currently serves as a Racial Equity Fellow with the Detroit Equity Action Lab. She is a graduate of Henry Ford College and Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. Cicely enjoyed gratifying breastfeeding experiences with both her children and developed a passion to advocate for black breastfeeding mamas that lacked support in their breastfeeding journey. She is a proud Detroiter where she resides with her husband and their two children.
