Journey to Healing

Shardaya Fuquay is a results-driven community educator with 10 years of experience developing and teaching innovative programs that serve diverse populations. Shardaya is a wife and a mother of three beautiful children, Kenzie (4 years-old), Khloe (3 years-old) and Kamry (4 months).Mrs. Fuquay is proud to say that she is a breastfeeding mom and strongly supports holistic approaches and programming efforts that help to empower minorities. Shardaya finds value in being a part of several community organizations such as Nurse Family Partnership, Black Mothers Breastfeeding Association, Great Start Collaborative, and Starfish. Shardaya was honored to take her community leadership development further as a Wayne County Parent Leader. Shardaya has a true passion for helping others; her diverse career has spanned everything from special education and curriculum development to trauma-informed care through her non-profit Journey to Healing. Shardaya has extensive experience working with the community to increase equity through universal design for learning and holistic trauma-informed care.
