Ashanti Carpio is currently serving as the Communications Specialist for the Black Mothers Breastfeeding Association (BMBFA). With over 7 years of experience in communications and marketing, Ashanti brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Ashanti’s educational background includes studying Time-Based Media with a concentration in graphic design at Eastern Michigan University. Her passion for multimedia artistry shines through in her work, as she utilizes her unique style to inspire others to think outside the box.
Throughout her career, Ashanti has been involved in numerous creative collaborations, showcasing her skills and creativity. She has created captivating content for renowned corporations like Target, leveraging her artistic abilities to enhance their branding and messaging. Additionally, Ashanti has made significant contributions to the Kids First Initiative of Michigan, where she developed a curriculum to educate young individuals about cryptocurrencies and NFTs, fostering their understanding of these emerging technologies.
Fueled by her passion for creativity, community, and motherhood, Ashanti found her calling with the Black Mothers Breastfeeding Association. She utilizes her skills to forge connections within the community, spread awareness about the significance of breastfeeding, and champion the welfare of Black mothers and their children.
