Toncé Jackson, Ed.D., MPH, RDN, cLE

Dr. Toncé Jackson is the Co-Founder of CinnaMoms and Senior Health Equity Manager at Heluna Health’s PHFE WIC program. Dr. Jackson has 15 years of progressive leadership and brings a unique population health perspective to her work in nutrition, lactation, and health equity. Dr. Jackson founded CinnaMoms, a breastfeeding support program for Black families, that has since expanded to a motherhood and lifestyle brand where families re-imagine and re-define their vision for birth equity. Her research has focused on WIC’s role in addressing maternal mortality and morbidity, through the CinnaMoms model. Funded by the USDA WIC Special Innovation Grant, the CinnaMoms Model is an evidenced-based approach to increase Black/African American WIC participation, support families during the postpartum period, and increase the pipeline of diverse leaders in the field of lactation, nutrition, and maternal health. Dr. Jackson chaired the National WIC Association Maternal Mortality in WIC Task Force and served as a Health Equity Champion.
