Bus Tour: Women Inspired Neighborhood Network

Nada Dickinson, a Community Health Worker, Team Leader (CHW), with Henry Ford Health System since 2011, works for Women-Inspired Neighborhood Network: Detroit, which provides services to reduce infant mortality. Where she conducts home visits, and connects families to resources and supportive services. She co-facilitates with the Midwifery team at Henry Ford Health System for Group Prenatal Care. This is an innovative approach by addressing health from the perspective of the social needs of mothers in Detroit. She was featured and published in two national publications, “I Dream Detroit”, and “A Day in the Life of a CHW”. Nada had the privilege of presenting and representing WIN Network Detroit, at the Stakeholder Health annual conference held at Howard University. Nada knows the community and what’s needed. She is very resourceful and self-driven with an innovative mind, with her creativity she named the organization Women Inspired Neighborhood Network (WIN Network Detroit). The wife and mother of two also, is her Block Club’s Vice President, and organizes a back to school events that have given over 300 backpacks and school supplies to the youth in her community. This event received recognition from a Detroit local news station channel 4 WDIV. Whether at work or in the community, Nada strives to be the vehicle of change to help families get to the road of success.
