Cicely Allen is enthusiastic to join Black Mothers’ Breastfeeding Association as a program associate. After spending most of her career in the insurance industry, she changed career paths and began working with multiple non-profit organizations providing support to underprivileged communities. Committed to racial justice, Cicely serves as a Detroit Equity Action Lab, Racial Equity Fellow. She is a graduate of Henry Ford College and Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. Cicely enjoyed gratifying breastfeeding experiences with both her children and developed a passion to advocate for black breastfeeding Mamas. She is a proud Detroiter where she resides with her husband and their two children.
